Arizona Ants
Ants are one of the hardest to control and identify. Hard to control because 90% of the colony is under ground and hard to identify because of their size and the very small difference between some of them. One way to identify them is by their nodes on their back, some have 1, some have 2. Some ants can have stingers and wings, but not all do. All ants have 3 parts of their body, head, thorax and abdomen. Ants have a caste system (queen, worker, and males). Ant colors can vary by species but normally range from black, brown, red or yellowish.

How To Control Ants in Your Yard
• Excess moisture is bad. If you have extra water in your yard, odds are you will have ants.
• Excess debris is not good-keep your yard as clean as possible from firewood, branches, leaves, and dog droppings.
• Keep pet food cleaned up and in a storage bin secured tightly.
• Many ants love sugar and any soda, fruit or Juicebox spills will bring the ants in. Avoid these spills or clean them quickly after they occur.
