Arizona Silverfish

Is it part fish or an insect.

We think it is a menace. Silverfish are small, about 1/2′” to 3/4″ and they love damp and areas with moisture. Because of that, there might be a bigger problem at hand with your house that is causing Silverfish to appear and stay.

Then the real problem can start since their diet can range from books, carpet, clothes, coffee, glue, hair, paper and even sugar.

Body

• Tear dropped shaped
• Colors range from light gray to brown or silver-ish
• Long antenna on the front
• 3 long bristletails at the end of their body

What do we do when we find them:

• Check for excess moisture. Leaky pipes or high humidity rooms need to be corrected.
